WHO IS THIS GUY
THE BOY WITH NO SMELL
?
Born in Amarillo, TX, C.K. Golden was born into a tumultuous environment. When his mother caught his father using heroin in front of her children, she packed their lives up in her sedan and headed north to Indiana where her cancer-stricken mother was living. After his mother remarried, things were stable financially, if not emotionally. C.K. Golden was raised by his mother and stepfather, and his upbringing in Indiana would later greatly influence the tone and content of his writing. A staunch Atheist in an Evangelist Catholic town, C.K. Golden was ostracized by his community from a young age. The fact that his mother had been divorced only further alienated him from his peers. C.K. Golden graduated from high school in 2007. After which, he attended Indiana University for a brief time before dropping out. It was about this time that his diagnosis of Schizophrenia started to wreak havoc on his mind and his life. After falling through many cracks, he crash landed on the coast of southern North Carolina, where he has remained ever since 2011. It was on the coast where he met his Fiancé. The two of them have been together for 12 years. They have two cats.
